This is our proof of concept, and it rips. Built around the question, "why shouldn't a 180mm bike be able to climb?" This is our answer, the 180mm travel quiver killer. It's also the testbed for our Drop Link dual link suspension concept. With long and low geometry, slack head angle, short chainstays, and 180mm travel front and rear, it blazes downhill. But also with strong antisquat, and relatively steep seat tube it climbs quite well.
Built for Robyn Embrey, a pro level DH and Enduro racer based in Tahoe California. 150mm Travel, 26" wheels.
Robyn originally hails from our area, and we were looking for some experienced riders to give us some feedback on our designs. She stepped up to be a product tester.
Advancements from the first design include: Stiffer rear end, Larger suspension bearings, Changes to suspension geometry to smooth out the pedal feedback, and integrated aluminum dropout and brake mounts.
We retained our falling rate suspension concept that balances the steep ramp inherent with air shocks for buttery plush mid-stroke.
